Although hypertension is commonly experienced by the elderly, it can also affect adults, including housewives. Several risk factors for hypertension among housewives include age, menopausal status, use of contraceptives, dietary patterns, nutritional status, physical activity, and others. The aim of this study is to analyze the determinant factors of hypertension among housewives. Method: The cross-sectional study approach was used in the research design. The location of Ciamis Regency was chosen because it has the highest cases of hypertension in West Java based on the Kemenkes in 2018. Proportionate stratified sampling was the method employed for sampling with a total of 81 subjects in this study. Chi-square test was employed as the bivariate analysis. Result: The results show that there is a relationship between the variables nutritional status BMI (p-value = 0.016), abdominal circumference (p-value = 0.014), fat intake (p-value = 0.000), sodium intake (p-value = 0.006), and physical activity (p-value = 0.040). Conclusion: The incidence of hypertension in housewives is correlated with BMI, nutritional status, belly circumference, fat and sodium intake, and physical activity
Meisya Maudy Zahrani, Fajria Saliha Puspita Prameswari, Syifa F. One of the symptoms of schizophrenia is hallucinations. Hallucinations are sensory perception disorders that occur in the absence of a real stimulus from the five senses, and it is often difficult to distinguish between reality and the unreal. Schizophrenia sufferers with auditory hallucinations need good treatment to control themselves from the impacts that will occur. Music therapy is a therapy that is often done because it is very easily accepted by the hearing. Music can affect imagination, intelligence, and memory, and can affect the pituitary in the brain to release endorphins. Music that produces alkaline effects is typically soft classical music, which makes it relaxing and calming. Objective: to provide nursing care by applying classical music therapy to schizophrenia patients with auditory hallucinations. Method: The method used is a descriptive method with a case study approach while the data collection process is through interviews and observations. Results: The results obtained after being given classical music therapy for 3 days which was done once a day for 15 minutes showed a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations from 55% to 0%. Conclusion: The application of classical music therapy is effective in reducing the signs and symptoms of auditory hallucinations.
Ivena Nurmarisa, Fifi Siti Fauziah Yani Copyright (c) 2025 JURNAL KESEHATAN KARTIKA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://stikesjayc.id/ejournal/index.php/litkartika/article/view/445 Fri, 05 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 KADAR UREUM DAN KREATININ PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI DEKAT PERTAMBANGAN EMAS SKALA KECIL DESA RANGAN TATE KABUPATEN GUNUNG MAS https://stikesjayc.id/ejournal/index.php/litkartika/article/view/451
Background: Children living near artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) areas are at risk of exposure to hazardous chemicals, particularly mercury, which is known to be nephrotoxic. This study aimed to describe urea and creatinine levels as indicators of kidney function in children residing in ASGM areas. Method: The study employed a descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 49 students from grades IV–VI of Rangan Tate Public Elementary School, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, urea measurement using the Berthelot method, and creatinine measurement using the kinetic Jaffe method. Both methods are simple, fast, and inexpensive, although they require automated instruments for better precision. Data were analyzed descriptively and with Spearman correlation tests using SPSS version 30 (p<0.05). Result: The results showed that all respondents’ urea levels were within the normal range (11–39 mg/dL) with a mean of 28.3 mg/dL. In contrast, 69.4% of respondents had creatinine levels above the reference range (0.3–0.7 mg/dL), with a mean of 0.79 mg/dL. A significant correlation was found between children’s involvement in mining activities and creatinine levels (r=0.406; p=0.004), while no significant associations were observed between other variables and either urea or creatinine levels. A total of 8% of children were reported to participate in gold mining activities, and 20.4% lived within a radius of less than 1 km from mining sites. Conclusion: The increase in creatinine levels among most children living near ASGM areas indicates a potential risk of impaired kidney function. Further monitoring using more sensitive and accurate biomarkers is recommended for early detection of nephrotoxic effects.
Selviana Putri, Nazwa Arfah Safitri, Dwi Purbayanti Copyright (c) 2025 JURNAL KESEHATAN KARTIKA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://stikesjayc.id/ejournal/index.php/litkartika/article/view/451 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN HIPERGLIKEMIA PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 https://stikesjayc.id/ejournal/index.php/litkartika/article/view/450
Background: Diabetes Mellitus is one of the endocrine system disorders that frequently occurs in society, with an annual increase of 56% in sufferers due to the instability of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, leading to elevated blood glucose levels. Therefore, early identification and intervention of post-stroke cognitive impairment are essential to maximize recovery and improve patient independence. Objective : This study aims to analyze the relationship between cognitive function and ADL ability in post-stroke patients. Method : This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted using non-probability sampling with consecutive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 30 respondents. The analysis used was univariate analysis with central tendency and frequency distribution as well as bivariate analysis using the person chi-square test. Result : The results of the analysis showed that the majority of respondents who had suffered a stroke were 58.97 years old, 17 respondents (56.7%) were male, 16 respondents (53.3%) had a high school education or equivalent, 22 respondents (72.2%) had ischemic stroke, 19 respondents (63.3%) had severe cognitive impairment, and 11 respondents (36.7%) had mild ADL dependence. Cervical cancer has been proven to be caused by continuous infection of oncogenic types of Human papillomavirus (HPV), namely high-risk HPV types including types 31, 33, 35, and 58. In the HPV life cycle, the E6 protein plays a crucial role in regulating cellular functions that contribute to cell transformation into cancer. The E6 protein from HPV types functions as the main oncoprotein that plays a role in the process of immortalization and cell malignancy. Mechanistically, the E6 protein from high-risk HPV contributes to the inactivation of the p53 tumor suppressor protein. Objective : This study aims to develop a multiepitope marker based on the E6 protein as the main component in the Lateral Flow Assay (LFA. Method : diagnostic kit with a bioinformatics approach method to identify immunogenic and conservative B cell epitopes in the HPV E6 protein which are then cloned in silico in the pET-28a (+) plasmid, so that it can produce a diagnostic kit that is specific for detecting Human papillomavirus (HPV). Result : The results showed that the designed multiepitope marker has the ability to trigger an effective immune response against B cells and has a fairly strong interaction between antigen and antibody. This study also showed the ability of the E6 protein to be expressed on the pET-28a(+) plasmid.
