Hypertension is a major non-communicable disease contributing significantly to global morbidity and mortality. Family involvement plays a crucial role in supporting long-term hypertension management, particularly through non-pharmacological interventions. This community service program aimed to improve family knowledge and skills in providing acupressure massage therapy to reduce blood pressure among hypertensive patients in the working area of Cimahi Tengah Public Health Center. The program was conducted in 2024 and involved 25 participants consisting of hypertensive patients and their family members. The implementation stages included preparation, education on hypertension and acupressure therapy, demonstration and supervised practice of acupressure massage, and monitoring of blood pressure before and after the intervention. The results showed that most participants experienced relaxation and improved physical comfort after the acupressure sessions. Blood pressure measurements indicated a decrease ranging from 10–20 mmHg among several participants following the intervention. Family participation increased patient motivation and adherence to the therapy. In conclusion, family-assisted acupressure therapy is a feasible, safe, and effective complementary approach to support blood pressure control in hypertensive patients. This program demonstrates the importance of empowering families in community-based hypertension management.
